2. Last week we shot a concept music video for Poor Laetitia. It was good times, and we are excited to show you the final product. Look for it sometime in the next few months.

3. This Friday, 8pm March 9, 2012 we will be playing a show with our close friends Lac La Belle at Trinity House Theatre in Livonia, MI (directions). Small venue. Come early, stay late.

4. On Friday, March 16, 2012 7-9pm, we’re back up in northern Michigan to play a benefit show for the Camp Daggett fundraiser (directions) to support scholarships for children to attend Camp Daggett. Hors d’oeuvres and non-alcoholic drinks will be served as refreshments between musical sets. We are looking forward to having the time up there and are planning our outfits already. Here is a local news segment advertising the event and featuring some rare footage of our fancy new album.

Thank you Michigan.

See you soon,

Preview and release of ‘The Old Sisters’ Home’

Dear Friends,

Thank you for your kind support of our Kickstarter fundraising effort. We raised $5,326. This is a big help. Makes us feel proud and optimistic about the new album. The tracking is done. Mixing and mastering – done. We are finalizing artwork, paperwork and the routine clerical and record-keeping incidental to the more important task: releasing the completed 3rd album

This we will do on Saturday, December 10th, 2011 at the Lydia Mendelssohn Theatre in Ann Arbor, Michigan (tickets). The theater is lovely, dark and deep and thus we hope for many of you to come and listen and have a good time.

We will play the show with Red Tail Ring and will be joined by friends who helped us record the album. For the first time ever we’re making a few moving pictures to go along with the live music.

Tickets for the December 10th release are on sale now from the Michigan Union Ticket Office and can be purchased by following this link.

In the meantime, below are 3-tracks we’d like to share with you from our new album.

Thank you,

Orpheum Bell

Kickstarter update: WE DID IT (and beyond!)

Friends,

We are thrilled and tremendously thankful to have reached our Kickstarter goal so early! We are also excited to announce that recording for the album is complete, and we will be focusing our efforts on mixing, mastering, and design for the next few months.

Since we still have two weeks to go in our Kickstarter campaign and could most definitely make use of additional pledges for our production expenses, we have racked our brains to come up with additional rewards to offer our backers if we reach further plateaus…including hand-stamped and signed thank you notes, t-shirts, coupons/download codes to our Bandcamp site, and an e-scrapbook of Orpheum Bell keepsakes.

Check out our Kickstarter page to find out more, and remember to save the date for our album release show on December 10 at the Lydia Mendelssohn Theatre.

Your band,
Orpheum Bell
